We at Alpha Players have grown to wanting another store. AP Derek Boss and Rob Duck will be searching for a new location early spring. If everything goes well we will be franchising are store. Many new and exsiting things happening for AP, and we want to share it with you. Jan. 28th was DA pre-release and Feb 3rd is Launch of the new set. We will be having are famous draft at $15.00 per entry with all the ammintitees that go with it. Check us out on Weds for draft nights, Thursdays EDH, and following after EDH is Type two late night magic. Then every Friday is FNM type two format. Alpha also will be hosting a GPT Indy this month. We have team Alpha getting ready for this event as well as Nebraska. Alpha Players home of #1 because everyone who plays here is #1 See everyone soon make this launch a good one.

next week is the release of From the Vault: Legends. thurs for our EDH @ 6:30pm, anyone who signs up and plays, will get their names put in a hat for a chance to buy at midnight (we will have 18 to sell), the price will be 40-45 for the set, not sure yet :( hope too see every here then.)

Also Get ready for our Pre-release party for the new set. This will be a weekend to remember.
Launch Party will be the following week and get this then after a couple of weeks in Nov. we will be having that big huge event we set out to do in 09 for the players to get GR on the map for bigger events. This has been hard work to get together and our core group of guys in the MTG community NOT AP have been working their butts off. AP introduced Ryan to the owners of Delta Plex and we will have a answer soon from this venue site on what we will need to prepare for the event. AP working with Elite Security is donating security to help the event run and cover liability, set up, and clean up. AP will also be helping with our local media for announcements and air time. AP is only a sponsor for the event but believe in this event so strongly we will help out where ever is possible. Art E. level 1 judge needs to be recognized for his hard work and pounding down doors. There has been such a huge response from business owners that vending of store products will and should be at the venue. Turning into a huge convention of stores who support players. I hope that all the West MI stores will get involved in this because this is about the players who have supported all of us for the last years we all have been in business. AP is willing to work with anyone who wants to grow this game and our community of players to be the best they can be. Feel free to call us at 616-301-9455 for more information as we get it. Building a better tournament for you

There is a time when you have to stop and look around to see a little sunshine in a room of familiar players. This past week for Pre-Release weekend we had some new faces in our store. When our players found out we had Spencer and Will at the tables the questions started to pile up. Hey who are these guys. well gentleman These were our visitors from the State of Virgina. The boys were up here on vacation with their family and wanted a shop to play at. They went all over and tried various locations and choose to play at alpha because of the guys around them being so friendly to them. Spencer and Will played with Matt, Kyle M., Dodson, George H. and many others, but the one story they and us will all remember is on EDH night was the comment "Who's taking so long, Matt are you done yet" Ohh my god everyone in the room luaghed in a good way and if you all know the situation with EDH and Matt it was tear jerking. Matt even laughed because it was the innocence of a young MTG Player that no body knew. Matt played and taught the boys the finer points of EDH and MTG the rest of the visit, and Both Will and Spencer went home with some new friends In MI. We will miss you guys but anytime you decide to come back, your seats will be waiting. The boys were amazing players.

Alpha Players Now has Air for those summer days of heat, we can now play test and play MTG in a cool atmosphere. Derek Boss and Robert Duck saved and finally purchased the unit from Arts this past week and on July 8th it was in and running. Just in time for Pre-Release. I am so happy to announce this because for a long time WE heard your concerns and it was very difficult for us but we did it, and with our good friends at MI Leasing, and Arts its now in. Cool play time at Alpha for the players. Believe me this was the best thing that has happened to Alpha with the exception of our judges. Love The MTG Community and hope all of you visit us soon to see what were doing here at Alpha.
